Blurred hires Mary-Jane Attafuah as ESGP Consulting Director

Blurred is delighted to welcome Mary-Jane Attafuah to the team as a Consulting Director.

Mary-Jane brings well over a decade’s experience developed across both in-house and consultancy roles, including what was Burson-Marsteller.  For the last six years Mary-Jane has been an independent consultant, working with the likes of BlackRock and Accenture (as well as a number of industry associations) consulting across a number of ESG issues and advising business leaders.

In addition to consulting, Mary-Jane is also an assessor at Cambridge University’s Institute for Sustainable Leadership (CISL) – the internationally renowned academic institute.  She is also the creator of ‘Tifi’ a platform for creative projects that seeks to move the needle on social and environmental issues, inspired by the birth of her two daughters.

Mary-Jane Attafuah says: ”ESG issues are now high on the boardroom agenda and coupled with wider societal momentum there is real scope for change. Blurred’s unique ESGP positioning taps into this - its depth of strategic and creative expertise is driving real change at the heart of business and it continues to grow as a result. I have admired the work of Blurred from afar and after several years as an independent consultant, I am now thrilled to be joining this award-winning team in advising some of the world’s most influential businesses.”

Nik Govier, CEO and Founder says: “People like Mary-Jane don’t come along every day.  Not only has she consulted across the ESG spectrum, but she’s been working directly with the most respected business school in this space. Her passion for sustainable business is profound, and we welcome her as much for her values as we do her skills”.

In 2021 Blurred made PR Week’s top 150 agency rankings after delivering 45% in growth in 2020. In January 2021 it was named PR Week’s Best Agency for Corporate and / or Financial Comms at PR Week’s inaugural Corporate, City and Public Affairs Awards.
