Changing investor perception of Primark, for ABF plc
We created a new investor-focused ESG narrative for FTSE100 multinational ABF, increasing transparency and demonstrating progress on the Group’s most material E and S risk factors, and supporting lead brand Primark’s new sustainability strategy, Primark Cares.


The work
We created a new investor-focused ESG narrative for FTSE100 multinational ABF, increasing transparency and demonstrating progress on the Group’s most material E and S risk factors, and supporting lead brand Primark’s new sustainability strategy, Primark Cares.
ABF had not previously engaged with this community on ESG topics in a meaningful way.
We conducted thorough materiality assessments for ABF, advising on areas of strength and weakness. We partnered closely with the CEO, CFO, and sustainability and legal teams to make sure the Group’s first group-wide ESG narrative was as strong as possible.
That work then translated into three ESG-focused capital markets days, developed by Blurred and hosted over a two year period.
We successfully recalibrated investor and analyst perceptions of ABF’s ESG strategy, with analyst notices after each CMD event giving the stock a “BUY” rating.
Our work also directly led to ABF plc agreeing a substantiated Group-wide net-zero target for the first time.
