Work: Creating a refreshed sustainability strategy and narrative for Twinings

For more than a year, we’ve been privileged to work with Twinings on evolving its ESG strategy, re-shaping its approach to reflect stakeholder expectations, the latest regulations, and the progress made over the last decade across its complex global chains for tea and herbs.

Twinings’ purpose was clear and ambitious: “to play a leading role in helping to develop a progressive and thriving tea and herbs industry.” Together we examined strengths, gaps and opportunities across environmental, social and governance topics, proposing builds that demonstrate a long-term commitment to action and progress balanced with where Twinings could make the biggest impact.

Core to the work was articulating Twinings’ ambition and creating a corporate and brand narrative that linked the new strategy to a heritage of quality, craftsmanship and wellbeing.

We’re proud to see this out in the world. It tells the story of a progressive tea brand aligned to the changing sustainability landscape, and a responsible and forward-looking business with clear priorities for the years ahead. Importantly it also augments the story Twinings can tell – to employees, corporate audiences and tea lovers alike.
